What a Stage 1 remap involves.
Stage 1 is our entry-level option, built for standard, unmodified cars. We connect to your ECU, read the existing factory software, and write a new file tailored to your exact make, model and spec — no physical parts touched, nothing removed or added under the bonnet.
The result is sharper throttle response, smoother power delivery with flat spots ironed out, and a meaningful boost in power and torque — often alongside improved fuel economy too. Because nothing physical is altered, it's the most affordable stage and the simplest to reverse if you ever want your car back to factory settings.
What you can expect.
Most drivers notice the difference immediately — a more responsive throttle, less hesitation low down, and an engine that feels like it's working with you rather than holding back. On turbocharged petrol and diesel engines especially, the factory map often has plenty of headroom built in for worst-case conditions, which a Stage 1 tune can safely make use of.
Every Stage 1 map we write is tested before your car leaves us, and we keep a copy of your original file on file in case you ever want to revert.
